FORTIMO™

High-durability 1, 4-H6XDI polyurethane elastomer

FORTIMO™ is a novel cycloaliphatic diisocyanate 1,4-H6XDI and high performance polyurethane elastomer based on it.

Overview

FORTIMO™ 1,4-bis (isocyanatomethyl) cyclohexane (1,4-H6XDI) is a novel isocyanate with a highly symmetrical cycloaliphatic structure, and high performance polyurethane elastomer based on it.
As TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) and TSU/CPU (thermoset polyurethane / casting polyurethane), it can be used for a wide range of applications including high-durability industrial materials, sporting goods, general consumer materials, automotive materials and packaging materials.

It also offers a balance between high elasticity, high heat resistance and non-yellowing properties.

*Comparison with TPUs of the same hardness (85A) based on same polyols

The FORTIMO™ TPU offers a balance of high elasticity, high heat resistance and resistance to low temperature, as well as non-yellowing characteristics previously considered difficult to achieve, and catering to a range of specific applications.

In addition to durability, heat insulation and non-yellowing properties, they also offer excellent molding characteristics.

FORTIMO™ TPUs offer superior elasticity and heat resistance than MDI and H12MDI type TPUs.
