OVERVIEW

ABSORTOMER, an α‐olefin copolymer, optimizes molecular structures at the nano level using the polymerization catalyst technology that Mitsui Chemicals has developed and accumulated over many years. Maximizing the viscous properties of a polymer successfully achieves stress absorption (high tanδ value), stress relaxation and other properties that are unavailable with conventional polyolefin-based materials. In addition, the unique texture changes with temperature. ABSORTOMER is a product in pellet form. Adding different materials during the molding of ABSORTOMER can add stress relaxation, concave-convex adhesiveness and other features and contribute to the development of unique products.

Issues with manufacturing to date

Increasingly diverse customer requirements
Preparing many sizes to meet their needs
Increasingly complicated inventory control
Overstocking of some sizes due to sales differences
Increase waste costs
Discount selling to clear out inventory and increased waste

A large range of sizes is leads to wastefulness

Manufacturing with ABSORTOMER

Helps reduce the number of sizes

Aims to develop one item and multiple sizes with properties that fit gently to human skin
