Property

Less susceptible to high temperatures, moisture, and chemicals to maintain stable strength for a long time.

As a highly reliable engineering plastic with low water absorption and high mechanical strength, ARLEN has boasted many achievements in the field of automotive electric components, mechanism elements, and sliding parts. Even in harsh environments, such as engine rooms, it maintains stable strength and dimensions for a long time. The resin contributes to the development of high functional products that could not be achieved with substitute metallic parts and conventional resins.

MECHANICAL PROPERTY AT HIGH TEMPERATURES

Maintaining high rigidity even under high temperatures in engine rooms, due to high glass transition temperature (Tg 125℃).

The glass transition temperature is approximately 125℃, which maintains superior rigidity even under a high temperature environment.

CHEMICAL RESISTANCE

Achieving high strength retention rate against oils and chemicals used for automobiles

This product is confirmed to maintain superior strength against oils and chemicals used for automobiles, such as engine oils, coolants, and gasoline. It has sufficiently high durability for mechanism elements and electrical components.

LOW WATER ABSORPTION

Achieving less deviation and stable strength even in immersion and high humidity environments.

The water absorption of polyamide occurs because water molecules are hydrogen-bonded to the amide groups in molecular structures. ARLEN achieves low water absorption by reducing the concentration of amide groups that cause water absorption. It minimizes the variations in weight and dimensions and deterioration of strength due to water.
