VNB-EPT

Functions

Heat aging resistanceHeat aging resistance

Concept

Due to its uniform cross-linked structure, VNB-EPT has superior heat aging resistance compared to existing ENB and DCPD-diene type EPDM.

Applications

  • Gaskets
  • Conveyer belts
  • Hoses
  • Anti-vibration rubber
  • Electric wires

Wear resistanceWear resistance

Concept

VNB-EPT has excellent wear resistance, and exhibits superior wear resistance even after aging.

In particular, in applications such as conveyor belts that demand wear resistance, replacement costs and GHG emissions can be expected to be reduced as product life is extended.

Applications

  • Conveyor belt (covering layer)

Improved compression setImproved compression set

Concept

In comparison with typical ENB-type EPDM, VNB-EPTs offer an excellent balance between elongation and compression set.

Applications

Cross-linking efficiencyCross-linking efficiency

Concept

VNB-EPTs using VNB-type dienes with good reactivity have better cross-linking efficiency than ENB-type EPDM, enabling reduction in the amount of peroxide used in the formulation.

Applications

  • Gaskets
  • Conveyer belts
  • Hoses
  • Anti-vibration rubber
  • Electric wires

New cross-linking technologyNew cross-linking technology

Concept

High-speed vulcanization is achieved by combining VNB-EPT with new cross-linking technology.

Shortening the vulcanization time during processing can be expected to lead to reductions in GHG emissions.

  • Gaskets
  • Conveyer belts
  • Hoses
  • Anti-vibration rubber
