Do Green™ is an initiative by Mitsui Chemicals’ Vision Care Materials Division to provide materials,
technologies, and solutions that support eyewear industry to reduce environmental impact.

Do Green™ promotes environmental initiatives
across the eyewear supply chain—from raw materials and manufacturing;
to lens makers, labs, retailers, consumers; and disposal and recycling—
by supporting low‑PCF materials, transparency, and eco‑design
to create sustainable value.

Do Green™ ProductsMR‑174™ and MR‑160DG™ are plant‑derived eyeglass lens materials, certified as biomass products by JORA (Japan) and USDA (U.S.).

Chemical RecyclingWe are developing new chemical recycling technologies that convert lens waste and discarded lenses into MR™ eyeglass lens materials.

Fuel ConversionWe are advancing the use of low‑carbon fuels at Mitsui Chemicals plants and introducing renewable energy, including solar power, at SDC Technologies, our group company.
