  • LUBMER?
  • LUBMER is a special polyethylene developed by Mitsui Chemicals using proprietary polymerization technology. It can be injection molded or extrusion molded with high sliding properties, which is a characteristic of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene. In addition to standalone molding, it can also be used as an additive to improve the sliding properties and abrasion resistance of engineering plastics and rubbers.

Sliding propertiesIt exhibits almost the same low abrasion coefficient as fluoropolymers

Demonstrates a low friction coefficient similar to fluoropolymers and exhibits superior abrasion resistance to other polyolefins and engineering plastics.

ModifiersWhen added to engineering plastics, sliding properties are significantly enhanced

The modifying sliding property effects on nylon are superior to when PTFE is added.

Improved sliding properties compared to PTFE addition

PA6/LUBMER additive effects: friction coefficient
Suzuki Method Ring Abrasion Test
> Even with only a small amount added, the friction coefficient is reduced. The effects surpass those obtained when PTFE or molybdenum disulfide are added.
