- UHMW-PE stands for Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene, and as the name suggests, refers to a type of polyethylene with a very high molecular weight. Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene has an average molecular weight of at least 1,000,000, exhibits excellent sliding properties and abrasion resistance, nd is a polyethylene classified as an engineering plastic that possesses high strength.

- Low specific gravity: enables reduced product weight.
- Superior abrasion resistance and self-lubrication: exhibits superior abrasion resistance to polyacetal (POM), fluoropolymers and PA66 nylon, and demonstrates excellent self-lubrication and sliding properties.
- Superior impact resistance: Possesses a higher impact resistance than polycarbonate (PC) and improves product durability.
- Excellent chemical resistance: Demonstrates excellent stability, suitable for use in food hygiene applications.
- Low water absorbency: exhibits excellent dimensional stability even in components that use water.
