Environmental initiatives
Mitsui EPT is engaged in a variety of initiatives for the creation of a circular economy,
enhancing environmental and social sustainability.
1. Manufacture of biomass-derived raw material
products using bio-naphtha
We have introduced bio-naphtha using the mass balance approach.
Please contact us for details.
What is the mass-balance approach?
A method in which biomass-derived products are allocated to certain products in proportion to the volume of biomass-derived feedstock input, when biomass-derived feedstock and petroleum-derived feedstock are mixed.
2. Environmental conservation initiatives through product design and rubber processing technologies
Examples of initiatives
We are shortening rubber processing times through the application of new cross-linking technologies.
Through these technologies, we are contributing to the reduction of CO2 emissions during processing.
3. Product design to reduce CO2
emissions during product manufacturing
By manufacturing using a metallocene catalyst plant, CO2 emissions during product manufacturing are reduced significantly in comparison with conventional methods.
