Mitsui Chemicals Group (“the Group”) aims to become a high-growth, high-profitability global specialty company in specialty chemical domains, while striving to establish its Basic & Green Materials business a strong basic and green materials company supporting Japanese industry. To achieve this vision, the Group accelerates group-wide business portfolio transformation with nothing off-limits.

This annual report (“the Report) focuses on a review of VISION 2030 as it approaches its halfway point and the challenges being pursued under the new management team led by the new President and CEO. It also provides an in-depth explanation of the path the Group is taking to improve its corporate value from the perspective of “integration of financial and non-financial performance”.
