Mitsui Chemicals Wins Gold Award as Part of WICI Japan Integrated Report Award 2023

Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. (Tokyo: 4183; President & CEO: HASHIMOTO Osamu) today announced that it has won the Gold Award in the WICI Japan Integrated Report Award 2023, an award program organized by WICI Japan (Tokyo; Representative Director: KITAGAWA Tetsuo).
The Japanese branch of the World Intellectual Capital/Assets Initiative, WICI Japan established its award program for listed Japanese companies in 2013 as the WICI Japan Award for Excellence in Integrated Reporting, with the aim of promoting integrated reporting in Japan. This year marks the 11th year of the program.
The following excerpt from the news release issued by WICI Japan highlights the comments offered in praise of Mitsui Chemicals in conferring the award.
Gold Award
This report achieves near perfect integrated reporting that could serve as a model for other companies’ integrated reports. It demonstrates the integrative thinking employed in the company’s management and sets out the company’s medium- to long-term value creation capabilities in relation to each stakeholder in an easily comprehensible manner. This company can be expected to achieve further increases in corporate value going forward.
