Regarding the Resumption of Production at Osaka Petrochemical's Ethylene Plant

Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. (Tokyo:4183; President & CEO: HASHIMOTO Osamu) announces that a wholly owned subsidiary, Osaka Petrochemical Industries, Ltd. (OPC) has resumed operations at its ethylene plant, which had been postponed. After making every effort to restart operations as soon as possible, the plant resumed operations on September 30.
