Mitsui Chemicals Accepting Applications for the 2016 Mitsui Chemicals Catalysis Science Award
Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. (Tokyo:4183; President & CEO: Tsutomu Tannowa) announced today that it will begin accepting applications for the “2016 Mitsui Chemicals Catalysis Science Award”.
The “Mitsui Chemicals Catalysis Science Award” was established in 2004 to support the sustainable development of chemistry and the chemical industry and has been presented 6 times to a total of 18 researchers in recognition of outstanding achievements in the field of catalysis science.
1. “Mitsui Chemicals Catalysis Science Award”
| （1） Research field: | Polymerization catalysts, fine synthesis catalysts, and other catalysts contributing to environmental protection |
| （2） Eligibility: | Up to one researcher (aged 47 years or younger on April 1, 2015) belonging to institutions of higher learning or public research with the outstanding achievements |
| （3） Prize: | Commemorative plaque and cash prize of 5 million yen |
2. “Mitsui Chemicals Catalysis Science Award of Encouragement”
| （1） Research field: | Same as the “Mitsui Chemicals Catalysis Science Award” |
| （2） Eligibility: | Up to two researchers (aged 37 years or younger on April 1, 2015) with original achievements |
| （3） Prize: | Commemorative plaque and cash prize of 1 million yen |
Applications for either the “2016 Mitsui Chemicals Catalysis Science Award” or the “2016 Mitsui Chemicals Catalysis Science
Award of Encouragement” should be postmarked no later than
December 28th 2015.
