Overview

Made from plant-derived materials, this lens reduces CO₂ emissions compared to petroleum-derived equivalents.

Compared to petroleum-derived equivalents, COemissions*1 are reduced by 8% for MR-160DG™ and 14% for MR-174 ™.

It is certified as a biomass product by JORA*2 in Japan and USDA*3 in the United States.

Superior Optical Properties

Due to the exceptional optical performance of MR™, it has properties such as "Thin and Light", "Safe and Resistant to Breakage" and "Lasting Appeal" as well as "Clear View"

*1 Calculation in accordance with ISO 14067, using a model case whose evaluation scope ranges from raw material production to resin production.

*2 Biomass mark (JORA) : A mark (biomass mark) in which the Japan Organic Recycling Association (JORA) certifies environmental products that utilize biological resources (biomass) and comply with quality, related regulations and standard criteria.

*3 Biobased product certification mark (USDA) : Biomass mark indicating plant-derived certification by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA BioPreferred®)
